BUTTERFLY DREAMS CRÈCHE

BUTTERFLY DREAMS CRÈCHE

By Tehillah in Uncategorized on May 5, 2019

Butterfly Dreams Crèche and Nursery School is the initiative of Tehillah Life Centre and caters for a definite and dire need that working parents of little children experience. The school caters for children between the ages of 18 months and 5 years old. We are a home away from home and a family to toddlers who genuinely need and desire tender, loving care.
The children are trained and nurtured by a group of Godly women who are very competent and loving. Some of them are trained in the field and others are caregivers and general assistants. We have a cook who prepares healthy meals for our children.

Our programme is holistic catering for the whole child. At a very early age, the children are trained to love God, to pray and to be thankful for their lives and provision. They are taught to honour parents and seniors. They learn how to play together and to respect others. They are also trained to share with others and to care for their friends.
The programme is designed for each age group as set out by the Department of Education. The curriculum includes Basic Living Skills, Socialisation, Communication, and Occupational Skills. The curriculum includes toilet training, feeding, music, and swimming.
We have 3 classes with at least 1 teacher and 1 helper per class. Rosh who was an educator for some 23 years oversees the running of the facility which is child-friendly and fitted out with all the necessary playground equipment to the delight of little children.

Adopt a School

Adopt a School

By Tehillah in Uncategorized on May 5, 2019

IN 2018 at least 2 senior school educators called the church for assistance regarding students engaging in bullying, fighting, drug abuse and sexually deviant behaviour. While we heeded the call to assist with counselling of the students in question, we realised that divine intervention is absolutely necessary for a heart change. The heartbeat team then met to strategize the way forward in helping these schools and their learners.

Firstly, we forged links with the National Student Christian Association, the Christian Parent Association, and the Christian Teachers Association. This then gave us the opportunity to work with a much larger body and to follow the same principles that the national team uses.
We decided to train leaders for this ministry in the following areas:

  1. Hold Student Christian Association meetings and fellowship in schools.
  2. Set up a counselling centre in each school with trained counsellors.
  3. To train students as peer counsellors.
  4. To offer students some form of creativity in music, art, drama, dance and craft which are not included in the curricula of many Government Schools.
  5. To open our youth meetings at church to willing students and parents.
  6. To start a sports club for students to keep them joyfully and meaningfully occupied.
  7. To adopt a school and help with the needs of the school by finding sponsors, helping with gardening, setting up sports fields, helping with tuition.

The heartbeat of the North was started in 2017 and incorporates a team of dedicated, called out, faithful and diligent sons of God who are visionaries and plan strategically to touch the world around us.
This team includes the East Gate, Watchman Ministries, and Love of Christ Families.
The following pertinent issues were discussed and planned:

  1. Support given to the school going children in counselling and deliverance, teaching and discipling, the meaning of being the born again, baptisms and training for ministry.
  2. Discovering one’s calling and gifting and placing one in teams for effective ministry.
  3. Evangelism in each of the areas we live in.
  4. Dealing with the following crises in schools – drugs, deviant behaviour, learning difficulties and sexual promiscuity.
  5. Strategic plans for youth and children’s ministries.
  6. Dealing with singles and loneliness.
  7. Dealing with barrenness.
  8. Support for children and parents who suffer abuse, marriage crises and family trauma.
  9. Seminars and schools for children and adults
  10. Printing of manuals and books.

DIALOGUES ON THE APOSTOLIC

By Tehillah in Uncategorized on May 5, 2019

Dialogue on the Apostolic is held at Tehillah Life Centre on alternate Saturdays from 08h00 in the morning. This table is administrated by Mervyn and Rosh Peters and is attended by leaders and members of East Gate Family Church as well as the leadership of Watchman Ministries from Stanger and the leadership of Love of Christ Ministries.
We have tabled teachings on Sonship, the divine attributes of God, the redemption of the soul, ruling and reigning above principalities, powers, rulers of darkness and spiritual wickedness. Presently we are tabling the subject of the Gospel of the Kingdom.

This forum is opened to all who are called into leadership and ministry.

“The DOA table is a place where family comes together carrying a unique expression of the Father’s heart. It presents revealed truth to enthrone Christ in one’s heart. It takes one on a journey into the inner recesses of one’s heart to discover God-given purpose and destiny. We are truly blessed and enriched to be a part of the DOA (North) in advancing the Kingdom of God on the earth.” [Pastor Lucian Naidoo – Watchman Ministries, Stanger].

“DOA is a bi-weekly of leaders for doctrinal dialogue and fellowship which is led by Pastor Rosh and Mervyn Peters. The gathering has helped me with a changed mindset and elevated my perspective in the things of God and greatly influenced personal decisions and ministry relationships. I have also been encouraged my personal improvement in biblical research, understanding of the kingdom of God, the value of sonship and transgenerational building.” [Pastor Chris Mathosi – Love of Christ Ministries, Durban]

Eldership at East Gate Family Church

Eldership at East Gate Family Church

1 Timothy 3:2 A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, vigilant, sober, of good behaviour, given to hospitality, apt to teach; 1 Timothy 3:5 (For if a man know not how to rule his own house, how shall he take care of the church of God?) The Eldership of East Gate Family Church are tried and tested in faithfulness, commitment and in relationships. Our elders have blessed marriages and Godly, God-fearing children. Besides, the support given to the leaders of EGFC is noteworthy. We have both seniors and younger members in our Eldership team and both add great value to the foundation and strength of this ministry.

CEDRIC AND RUTH DAVID

As Elders of Tehillah Life Centre and East Gate Family Church, we submit to the Holy Spirit and to our fathers in the faith, Mervyn and Rosh Peters. We understand our mandate in supporting them as they endeavour to fulfil the vision God has placed in their hearts, for the church both from a local and a global perspective. Our calling is to provide pastoral care and relevant counselling to members of East Gate Family Church as well as others in our local community. In this regard we are gifted and called to give support to the elderly and to the youth, encouraging them to be steadfast in the faith and self-disciplined as they strive towards maturity in Christ. We also teach and preach the word of God and are relevant in declaring the word of the Kingdom to those around us. We both oversee the ministry involving men and women of East Gate Family Church, installing Godly principles for marriage and family life.

ERROL AND OLIVIA NAIDOO

1 John 3:14 We know that we have passed out of death into Life because we love the brothers and sisters. Being called to be an Elder at East Gate Family Church has been a privilege and honour for which we are eternally thankful to God. The office of the Elder is not one to be taken lightly and with it comes much responsibility and accountability to God our Father and to our fathers in the faith, Pastors Mervyn and Rosh Peters. We are blessed to have a family of believers who hold our hands in all that God has planned for us at East Gate Family Church and together with our fellow elders, we form a company that cannot be divided or defeated. The examples laid down by Pastors Mervyn and Rosh are that of lives sold out to Christ, dead to self and fully committed to the work of God in love.

The Word of God is a priority in our lives and we strive to walk in total obedience to all God expects of us. As East Gate Family Church, we have much to do in the Kingdom of God, and it is with excitement and zeal that we hold each other’s hands and walk this awesome journey in love, always wanting God’s best for everyone around us.

DURAN AND LEONA DAVID

For us, being called to Eldership is a weighty responsibility. We don’t take the function lightly as we understand that we need to reflect the Father in how we care for His people. He has equipped us to be loving, fair, kind and generous – all by His grace and nothing in our own strength. It is our service to Him and His Kingdom. We are humbled, honoured and blessed to do His will and rely daily on His goodness to fulfill His mandate accurately.

DAVID AND IRENE NAIDOO

As Elders of East Gate Family Church, we provide oversight to a vibrant group in Cape Town.

The new wineskin is a Father/son relationship in ministry, and we believe spiritual covering is essential. We submit as spiritual sons to the grace covering of our Fathers in the Faith, Pastors Mervyn, and Rosh Peters. They provide spiritual fathering to us on behalf of God our Father. Under this covering, we enjoy divine protection, preservation, and immunity.

Pastor Rosh & Mervyn Peters

Pastor Rosh & Mervyn Peters

Pastor Rosh & Mervyn Peters held various substantive positions as heads of both primary and secondary schools before they were called into full-time ministry. They have been involved in ministry since 1980, as Elders of the Church of the Good Shepherd, Seatides, Tongaat. In 1997 they retired early from their respective posts, knowing full well that a greater mandate awaited them.

In 1992, Pastor Rosh & Mervyn Peters together with their three children and 30 volunteers opened the Tongaat Christian Crisis and Care Centre [TCCCC] and through that ministry, they touched many lives. In 1994 Mervyn and Rosh founded the TCCCC Rehabilitation Centre and safe house, providing long term support for their needy guests. 1998 saw the opening of the Philadelphia Coffee Bar, a hangout and safe environment in the city for the youth. By the end of that year the operations, inclusive of a Counselling Centre, moved to Tembeni Gardens [6B Old Mill Road].

Whilst in Durban they, together with Pastor Samson Veeriah, played a vital role in the opening of Hope Counselling Centre in Chatsworth. This much-needed facility saw the transformation of precious lives surrendered to the Lord Jesus Christ. One of the highlights of the Centre was the organization of a Youth Camp for 200 indigent youth, all paid for by well-wishers. Regular training and teaching to deal with crisis and care were also done at the Centre to equip leaders to continue the work that was started. It was during this time Mervyn and Rosh completed a Care Givers Certification Course with the University of Pretoria.

In 2003 they were ordained as full-time Pastors of Tehillah Life Centre. With much pain and suffering behind them, they rose from the ashes of despair and despondency once again to zealously pursue the calling of God on their lives.

It was through divine orchestration they had retired early from secular education and have since been actively involved in local and international ministry and together as author and editor, 5 books and a manual have been written since 2003 and the fifth is scheduled to be published hopefully in 2019.

In September 2014 the then Tembeni Gardens, which Mervyn and Rosh left and lost in 1999 became the home of TLC. The hand of God not only restored that which was lost, but this time victory came because a family, as one, stood together

This was done by Apostle Frans from Lighthouse Ministries. For the next 12 years, the Tehillah Life Centre family was blessed to have received some of the finest teachings on the word of God.

Tehillah Life Centre was known as Tembeni Gardens in the previous season, meaning versatility, enthusiasm and agility. TLC, as we are fondly known, is the umbrella body of the ministry today and is meant to be the life centre of all we do to manifest the kingdom of God. Tehillah Life Centre was birthed as a family and household of faith, through a prophetic word released on the 17 March 2002 to our founding fathers in the faith, Mervyn and Rosh Peters.

With the tragic passing on of their eldest child, Sheralynne Singh in March 1999, they decided to retreat from community ministry for a season to find rest in God. With both their children, Olivia and Alaister, they moved to Durban where they met with Frans and Netta du Plessis [Lighthouse Ministries] who played an active role in mentoring them for the next 12 years.

The first book, Tehillah – Journey to the Throne – has been written after their first born, Sheralynne Singh at the age of 23 years, together with her unborn child, were killed in a motor car collision, about 500 metres from TLC. Other books that followed were The Heart of the Kingdom – The Hidden Treasure Revealed; The 7 Radiations of the Spirit of God; God’s First Ripe Fruit and the sequel to the first two books in manual and book form – The Kingdom of God is Within You. All the books deal with our corporate journey. Electronic and hard copies of the books are available on request. Monies derived from the sale of books will go a long way towards subsidizing future printing.
